docugrafias are the result of a collaboration between almir and delmar mavignier. the idea was to create new high quality digital prints based on designs of existing and lost, sold or disappeared paintings.
|
docugrafias was the idea of delmar mavignier, creating digital prints in the highest quality combining inkjet with silkscreen process and creating new printed works based on sold and missing paintings. here is the first exhibition we had at museo afro brazil, são paulo presenting the new works.
in the last 10 years we have created more than 90 motives and have developed a new series where we use the industrial printer ink to create designs with three dimensional structures, similar to almir's oil paintings.
all of these works can be purchased through dan galeria if you are in brasil or the americas or from us if you are based in europe.

serie luz2017, digital prints 80x80cm
in this series of prints we could replicate the very same approach that almir used in his paintings - creating sculptural surfaces and structures which interact with light itself using paint as a material. sofar we have shown these works only in brasil. |
